The App

Waking The Dead is an app that brings the hidden geniuses buried in Kensal Green Cemetery to life. The app will help you discover local, national and world history through this innovative project that has been curated, photographed, and recorded by local young people.

Kensal Green Cemetery, or ‘All Souls’ as it is also known, is a treasure trove of local and global history. It is the final resting place of a diverse mix of characters that reads like a Who’s Who of times gone by, including Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Wilkie Collins, Harold Pinter, Anthony Trollope, William Makepeace Thackeray, and Joe Strummer.

Take a walk through local, national and international history and be guided by a bespoke, interactive mobile experience that has been curated by young people.

You can download the app today from the App Store  if you have an Apple device
